Even at the highest temps it took several passes to even moderately straighten my hair, and it just seemed to dry it out. I have very fine, thin hair. I purchased this at the recommendation of my hairdresser. I do like how light it is in my hands and that it does not feel like it damages my hair.
I do feel like to achieve the most straightening affect I have to use the hotter temps. It is small but since I don't have much hair it works for me. I plan to try it for curling too but haven't done that yet. Overall, I am happy with it for the purpose I purchased it for. My hair is curly and very thin, so it tangles easily and breaks off too. This doesn't snag my hair like my last one, and it straightens very quickly.
