Support for Microsoft operating systems whose lifecycles have ended may be limited or not available. Microsoft provides support for technical issues with the Windows Virtual PC program, regardless of the installed guest operating system. Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support.
This contact information may change without notice. Six months from now, you get a new PC without an OS. You can transfer Vista to that machine. That's it. Any future PCs will require another license. Again, there will be many interpretations by people who wish to 'adapt' the EULA to their own requirements.
But that doesn't make it legal or proper. Perhaps you might want to consult a lawyer for help. Anyway, the EULA makes for some very interesting reading. I know there may be errors like previously stated from other posts. I'm not "needing" VPC but it would be a very nice tool to be able to use for random purposes. Thank you for your time. Not legally.
Your Vista license is for 1 installation, you can't use it on your physical computer and a VM. Future inquiries regarding VPC for Windows should go to microsoft. Had the same problem but have just installed' Virtual Box' from Sun micro systems. It works well. Hopefully MS will release a system that is compatible with all their platforms. Selecting a language below will dynamically change the complete page content to that language.
